Bands We Like! #70: That Was Something

2009 has definitely been the year for Detroit based pop/rock band That Was Something to shine. Compared to The Maine, Blink 182 and All-American Rejects, That Was Something stands tall with a uniquely familiar pop sound. Their new EP, “Down, But Not Out”, produced by Rob Freeman (Hit The Lights, Cobra Starship) was released in December 2008 by Authentik Artists which provided tremendous exposure for the band. With their video debut of “She Is The West Coast” on MTV’s Buzzworthy and 2 songs featured on the #1 iPhone application Tap Tap Revenge 2, you can see these guys mean business! The band recently finished AbsolutePunk.net’s “The Next Favorite Band Tour” with The Sophomore Attempt and Go Crash Audio and will be touring throughout summer and fall 2009.
